This is part of what I get to see every morning. Boats, water, sunrise…can’t get much better than that! AND I have been getting some real respect on Morrisey Blvd latley. Maybe because they see me every day? I think this is the key….get out there and ride every day and it becomes familiar to people there for they respect it. Could be something to look into. Maybe there are some stats out there on how people treat bikers on the road if they see more and more on a regular basis on their drive to work. Hmmmmmm……..

So I was thinking during my heavily traffic commute this morning, as a truck decided to give me no room and almost run me off Morrisey Blvd…….going rogue with the sharrow.
By the way I caught that trucker and let him know his big truck does not make up for other small things so he needs to get over himself. I only said this after he got snotty when I asked him to please be careful, we are all trying to go to work, he could of killed me….but… I had to stoop to his level, and it made him think about it a little more. Next time I won’t be as nice. I really don’t get people, seriously your rushing to get to work? Dumbasses!
Anyhow, I was then thinking, Morrisey needs some help and we are trying to create a path beside it to be traffic free since its a SUPER dangerous road to ride, not to mention a steel grated drawbridge and speeds in excess of 50 MPH. Till then….. I wonder if someone can find a graffic artist to create a huge sharrow stencil, get some concrete paint and go out with some friends and drop down a few sharrows……
Is it legal? Can I call it “Art”? If it is not I wonder how to get the permits or to get the city to do it now. How much can a stupid sharrow cost? Shit, I will pay for the supplies and go out there and paint them my damn self….it is a sharrow we can all “share” in getting them on the ground 🙂
And why aren’t these things ALL OVER THE PLACE we can’t fit a bike lane on? I actually prefer them to the lane but that’s another story….
